You may want to change your email address to Inbox.com for any number of reasons. Perhaps your mailbox is overflowing with spam, someone keeps sending you abusive email, or you may just want to try something new.
Switching to Inbox.com takes several easy steps, including setting up a new email account, importing your contact list and sending your new email address to your friends.
Inbox.com will guide you through the switching process. Simply fill out your email provider's name in our Switch help section and follow the instructions.
With Inbox.com, you can send and receive messages up to 20 megabytes (MB) in size. However, the precise amount allowable will depend on the attachment.

When you add an attachment, the size of a file may increase because transport encodings are automatically added. (Transport encodings are the information that allows your message to be safely sent and read.)
This means that in some cases, attachments that are 15 to 20MB in size may push the total message size above 20MB. When this happens, Inbox.com displays a warning that your message exceeds the 20MB limit.
To use all the advanced features of Inbox.com, a modern, fully capable web browser is required. It has to support frames and Javascript/DOM. If your browser doesn't support these, or if you disable those features in your browser, you won't be able to use Inbox.com email.
Browsers that are fully supported:
1) Note #1: Gecko (Mozilla) kernel 1.3+ is required. Prior versions, and pre-release, alpha and beta versions, are not supported. Even so, the Inbox.com applications could work.
2) Note #2: These browsers fit the requirements, but there may be bugs that can cause the application to not function properly. We are diligently developing work-arounds for these.

The Inbox.com Storage module allows you to safely store your images, documents, and music, just like on your own computer!

The Notes serve you as your own private board where you can pin your notes so that you wouldn't forget about them. You can choose from 8 colors and assign them a category. For example, red notes might mean "must do" things, yellow notes "should do" things, etc.

To enable POP3/SMTP access to your Inbox.com email account, follow these steps:
Select the "Settings" tab.
Select the "POP3 Access" tab.
Click on the "how to activate POP3 access" link.
Click on the "Activate POP3/SMTP Access" button.
If you want to download sent emails, select the "Allow POP3 access to emails in "Sent Mail" folder" checkbox.
If you want to download spam, select the "Allow POP3 access to emails in Spam folder" checkbox.
If you want to download also emails older than POP3 access activation, select the "Allow POP3 access to older than POP3 access activation" checkbox.
Click on the "Save Settings" button.
How does Challenge/Response Spam Protection work?
Challenge/Response Spam Protection helps you to reduce the amount of spam in your Inbox.
If you decide to use Challenge/Response Spam Protection, anyone not included in your contact list or white list who sends you an email will receive an email containing a confirmation link.
