HOW TO CANCEL AOL DIAL UP INTERNET

STEP 1 - Find a new ISP. You need to find a new internet access provider before you cancel your current ISP. If you cancel your account before you find a new ISP you may be without internet access for a while. If you are switching to DSL or Cable Internet it takes a few days for your new service to start and for your Modem and activation kit to arrive. STEP 2 - Cancel AOL Dial Up. Now that you have signed up for a new internet service provider you can cancel your current internet access. When you signed up for your new ISP you should have been given an activation date for your new internet service. When you cancel your AOL dial up account be sure to cancel the account a day before your new service begins so you don't have a lapse in coverage.

If you would like to cancel your paid member account or convert it to a free member account, AOL would be happy to help you with that. By choosing to convert to a free account you will still be able to use the AOL service for free.

In order to process your request all numbered fields on the form must be completed. Your request will be processed within 72 hours of receipt. Upon completion AOL will send you written confirmation for your records. You can continue to enjoy your paid service for the remainder of your current bill cycle. Your account will be automatically converted to the AOL Free Service prior to your next cycle date. Please note that AOL reserves the right to charge and collect fees, surcharges or costs incurred before your conversion takes effect.
